This teacher’s manual provides lesson plans and instruction for guiding students through the creative writing process. Procedures, functional spelling, composition forms, and public speaking are addressed.
The purpose of Composition Forms 3 is to give children practical patterns to follow in the early steps of writing. These patterns develop a conscious control of thought and awareness of the sequence of thought. Your students will gain security in the process of writing a composition as they use a choice of sentence patterns to build a paragraph.
It is essential that the students follow the patterns literally. Gradually they will be given more an more opportunity to express their own thoughts freely. By that time, they will have an awareness of the structure of a composition and will be able to present their original thoughts in a coherent, intelligible way.
