Getting Started with Carden
Every Carden School® is independently owned and operated. The Carden Educational Foundation works closely with all of them to protect the integrity of the Carden Method® and ensure optimal success for students and teachers alike. We also enjoy working with families who homeschool and tutors who work with students of all ages.

Bring Carden to My School
We appreciate the schools and teachers that choose the Carden Method®. Each Carden School® is independently owned and operated yet works closely with us to protect the integrity of the curriculum offered. The Carden License Agreement for Schools governs our relationship with schools that use Carden. The Agreement assures all parties that Carden-trained teachers will use our materials in harmony with our teaching philosophy and techniques as presented in courses and teacher manuals.
We want all teachers to be successful. For this reason, we require that the schools, teachers, tutors, and homeschooling parents who purchase our curriculum receive training in the philosophy and teaching techniques of the Carden Method®. To that end, we offer a variety of professional development opportunities throughout the year. These include live webinars, workshops, seminars, and demonstration teaching classes. Well-trained Carden Specialists lead all professional development events.
Carden materials are available for purchase by licensees only. Once an executed license agreement is in place, we will begin working with your school to create your first order of Carden books.
Homeschool with Carden
The Carden License Agreement for Homeschools governs our relationship with homeschooling families. It provides each of us with the assurance that you have the Carden training you need to teach your children well. In addition to our License Agreement, we expect each homeschooling family to comply with any local requirements for schooling at home.
Although developed for classroom use, Carden does provide an excellent homeschool education. Our program isn’t a virtual one. You and your child will need to spend dedicated time together each school day. Our detailed manuals take the guesswork out of teaching and allow you to focus on helping your child learn.
Manuals alone don’t make a good teacher, and we want you to be an excellent teacher. For this reason, we require homeschooling parents who purchase our curriculum to receive training in the philosophy and teaching techniques of the Carden Method®. We offer a variety of professional development opportunities throughout the year. Live webinars, workshops, seminars, and demonstration teaching classes led by Carden Specialists. Feel free to ask all the questions you need to, and we will be available throughout the year to support you.
Carden books are only available by license agreement. Once we have fully executed a license agreement together, and you’ve completed the Carden training needed for the ages of your children, you may place your order for curriculum items. We will activate an account for you and will help you decide which books are best for your situation.
Tutoring with Carden
The Carden Method is a powerful resource for tutors. Our teaching techniques help students overcome a variety of obstacles as they gain control over words and numbers. To begin, we ask that you sign a Carden License Agreement for Tutors. It will govern our relationship with you as a tutor. It also assures both of us that you have the training and support needed to provide your students with the tools they need for success.
