The Carden Reading Method® offers a complete language arts program. Literature is so much more than just reading. Using the Phantom Tollbooth as our guide, we’ll discuss tips and techniques to help students develop critical thinking skills and learn vocabulary in context. We’ll also look at literary devices that convey a deeper meaning than what’s on the page. We’ll see how this multi-layered teaching approach reinforces learning and efficiently uses class and student time. And, as with all subjects, we’ll discuss ways to encourage students to join in the conversation and to be fearless when they ask questions.
A Certificate of Completion will be issued upon the successful completion of the session and the completion of a written assignment.
